During this time, we have advocated for public trails and spaces, hosted free events and partnered with organizations throughout the region to tell the stories and preserve the history of the Ohio & Erie Canal.

At the time of the Underground Railroad, Cleveland was called “Station Hope” because freedom seekers were close to Canada & freedom.
