You can make a lantern in any way you can think of! If you need help you can watch our videos or follow the instructions linked below:
No, feel free to make your lantern as large or small as you want, but please remember to use recycled or upcycled materials and include battery-powered light.
Your lantern must be lit with battery operated light. No candles will be permitted. Reusing a flashlight or bike light, battery powered string or rope lights or LED tea light candles are great options.
Free registration is encouraged but not required.
Yes, please feel free to decorate anything you’ll be bringing with you for the event, but please use as many recycled materials as possible!
We’re hoping to see as many upcycled lanterns as possible, but we’d love to have you at the event in any way that works for you.
We encourage participants to join us for the full parade. But, since the route is out and back you can turn around at any point and meet us back at the starting location.
