More than 30 community partners to host over 70 history events

During the 8th annual Cleveland History Days, Clevelanders can explore rarely seen parts of the city—including the hidden streetcar level of the Veterans Memorial Bridge—during the 11-day event series, returning June 19–29 with more than 70 opportunities to discover the city’s past.

Cleveland History Days showcases Cleveland's cultural institutions, historical societies, museums, and preservation organizations, which are all working to preserve and promote the city's unique heritage. Last year, more than 11,000 people from 65 different zip codes in 5 states participated in Cleveland History Days.

This 11-day series, produced in collaboration with over 30 community partners throughout Cleveland—including the Cleveland History Center, Cuyahoga County, Lake View Cemetery, Baseball Heritage Museum at League Park, Cleveland Metroparks, National Park Service, and more—offers a diverse array of activities. Attendees can enjoy guided walking tours, lectures, panel discussions, open houses, and special events that delve into Cleveland’s industrial heritage, diverse communities, and significant contributions to the nation’s history.

New Cleveland History Days events this year include:

  • Lights! Camera! It’s Hollywood on the Cuyahoga: From Thomas Edison to The Avengers, enjoy stories of Cleveland’s long history with feature films at the Music Box Supper Club on June 19.
  • Explore the NEW KeyBank Heritage Center: This guided tour on June 20, June 24, and June 26 will take visitors into the brand-new KeyBank Heritage Center, celebrating 200 years of dedicated service, and through the first floor of the historic Society for Savings building.

“This year’s Cleveland History Days offers more than just a look at the past—it’s a celebration of the people and places that shaped who we are today,” said Mera Cardenas, executive director of Canalway. “We invite everyone to uncover the stories that still echo through our streets, neighborhoods, and landmarks.”
