Canalway, a non-profit cultural heritage organization, has added three new members to its board of directors. The organization announced on Tuesday, May 21 the appointment of the following:
“Canalway is excited to continue growing the breadth of our board of directors. Each new board member’s personal and professional experience will directly impact Canalway’s work connecting people to important places in the Ohio & Erie Canalway. We look forward to their insights and support,” said David Jurca, Board Chair for Canalway Partners.
The board now has 15 members.

Bryan Falk
Bryan is the managing partner of Vorys' Cleveland office, serves as a co-chair of Vorys’ national finance practice and is a member of the firm’s management committee. In his day-to-day legal work, Bryan helps businesses and developers with their corporate, finance and real estate needs. He is the defacto outside general counsel for several privately held, upper middle market companies headquartered in northeast Ohio. Bryan has broad and deep business counseling experience and a reputation as an effective legal project manager and problem solver. For the past several years, Bryan has served on the United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Cleveland (UCP) Board of Directors. In that role, Bryan is the current Chairman of the Board. He also has served on the executive, strategic opportunities, governance, development and golf committees. Bryan received his J.D. cum laude from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law and his B.A. from Miami University.
Eric Kufel
Born and raised in Cleveland, Eric attended Cleveland State University while working for the Grand Arcade apartments in the Warehouse District. In 1997, Eric started Aspen, Inc., a landscape design company which has since evolved into a property management company. Eric currently resides in Broadview Heights with his Wife Terri and has one son and two golden retrievers. He enjoys hiking and walking in the Cuyahoga Valley especially on the Towpath Trail in Peninsula. Eric is committed to giving back to the community and has collaborated with numerous breweries and nonprofit organizations to raise funds for the community. He is currently working with Cleveland Rocks: Past*Present*Future, a new nonprofit that helps support local up-and-coming musicians in Northeast Ohio. Eric looks forward to working with Canalway and carrying out the vision while supporting the Ohio and Erie Canalway National Heritage Area.
Nancy Lesic
Nancy is a principal with Lesic & Camper Communications, a public affairs firm with offices in Cleveland and Columbus. A former journalist and press secretary for a former Cleveland mayor, Nancy works with a diverse array of clients providing media relations, government relations, issues management, strategic counsel, community engagement and other communications services. She has worked on a long list of highly visible projects including the $500 million Flats East Bank project, the Cuyahoga Riverfront Master Plan, Cuyahoga County government transition, education reform, improvements at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse and the makeover of Progressive Field. She has also worked on a number of statewide initiatives including communications efforts on behalf of The Pew Charitable Trusts to reform Ohio’s highest-in-the-nation payday lending rates. Nancy holds a bachelor’s degree from Cleveland State University, where she studied political science and economics. She splits her time between Cleveland and Akron.
