Celebrate River History with Canalway

Head to Hart Crane Park on June 24 for a day of free events celebrating a river renewed. Presented by Canalway and sponsored by Cargill, Cuyahoga River Rally celebrates the history of the Cuyahoga River and the lifestyle enhancements clean water provides with a beer garden, live music, and free history & river tours.

“The Cuyahoga River is an important part of Cleveland’s history and culture. It provides so many opportunities for recreation and engagement that aren’t available in other cities,” says Canalway Executive Director Mera Cardenas. “At River Rally, we encourage people to experience the river by getting out on the water or exploring its banks while honoring the history of the river and the connections it creates.”

2023 River Rally activities will include:

  • Free walking tours focused on history and nature surrounding the river.
  • Kayak tours, with discounted kayak rental fees courtesy of OHM.
  • Kayak cleanups with Trash Fish.
  • Free dragon boat rides provided by the Cleveland Dragon Boat Association.
  • Free boat tours on the Holiday.
  • Free bike tours led by Ohio City Bike Co-op.

River Rally also features live music and a beer garden, with beer provided by Collision Bend Brewing.

Advanced registration is free, but recommended for most activities. More information at CanalwayPartners.com/RiverRally
