Runners from 22 States and 3 Countries competed in the Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K Races.
Canalway hosted the final leg of the 2022 Towpath Trilogy Race series on Saturday, October 8. The race started and finished on the Towpath Trail in Canal Basin Park.
More than 1,000 runners enjoyed the beautiful fall temperatures. More than 280 participants registered for the 10K, 496 participants signed up for the half marathon and 221 participants competed in the marathon.

After the race, participants celebrated in Canal Basin Park with food from Swenson’s Food Truck as well as refreshments supplied by Cleveland Water and Ready and free adjustments from Cleveland Performance Chiropractic and foot checks by volunteer students from the College of Podiatric Medicine at Kent State University.
The 2022 Towpath Marathon is the 31st marathon hosted by Canalway on the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail.
