Join us at RiverSweep to help clean the Cuyahoga River watershed

RiverSweep is Canalway’s annual litter clean up to bring awareness to areas that may one day become a future trail or park and to protect the Cuyahoga River watershed. In 2021, 700 volunteers removed over 27 tons of trash!

Over the course of 30 years, more than 20 thousand volunteers have helped us extract and recycle 24,757 illegally discarded tires and picked up for disposal 740 tons of trash.

This year, we’re asking the public to help us pick up litter in 10 cleanup locations from Tremont to Garfield Heights. Have a kayak or paddle board? Join us on the Cuyahoga River to remove trash straight from the water.

Sign up to volunteer with us from 9 to 11 am.

Volunteers will be invited to join us for an appreciation event after the cleanup event.

RiverSweep is sponsored by Cargill and Dominion with support from many others.
