Thursday morning crews installed a 211 foot, 211,000 pound galvanized steel truss bridge spanning the Cuyahoga River that passes under Harvard Rd. The bridge, built by Big R Bridge in Greeley, CO, is the first tangible evidence of the progress of the stage 1 Towpath Trail extension project that will connect the current northernmost terminus of the Harvard Rd. Towpath Trailhead to the existing Steelyard Commons trail (stage 2). Stage 1 is scheduled to be completed in late 2019.
