Canalway Partners has been working with many organizations for over thirty years to bring the concept of the Towpath Trail to life. The hard work is paying off and the trail is expected to be finished in the City of Cleveland by 2020.
In addition to the towpath Trail, Canalway Partners is a steward of the Ohio & Erie Canalway National Heritage Area in Northeast Ohio. National Heritage Areas are designated by the federal government that tell the important historical stories of the United States. Our heritage area tells the story of the canalway, Cleveland’s economic impact on the country, and our environmental heritage story.
