Presented by KeyBank, Picnic in the Park invites attendees to celebrate America 250 with food, drinks, entertainment, games, and history in Canal Basin Park. Hosted in conjunction with Cuyahoga County’s annual tours of Veterans Memorial Bridge, Picnic in the Park will connect people to America’s 250th anniversary in the home of Cleveland’s origin story.

Picnic in the Park activities include:

  • Live local music by:
    • Thicarus - 11:30 a.m.
    • AJ & The Woods - 1:15 p.m.
    • Mars Express - 3 p.m.
  • Family-friendly activities from community partners including Freshwater Institute, Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, Cleveland Water and more to help you learn about water and history.
  • Kids America 250-Ohio activity tent
  • Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District will be hosting a touch-a-truck at their Canal Basin Park Pump Station!
  • A special “Treat Toast” on the main stage from 2:30 to 3 p.m. celebrating America 250 with free treats for guests while supplies last.
  • Food trucks, picnic tables, and a beer garden for all to enjoy!
  • Dr. U.R. Awesome, professional bubbleologist will be at Picnic in the Park from 2-4 p.m.
  • Learn about the History of Canal Basin Park and the Ohio & Erie Canal!

Please note: 989 West St is the address of the closest parking lot. the event will be held in the greenspace at 1535 Merwin Ave. Merwin Ave. will be closed to car traffic during the event.
