RiverSweep is Ohio's largest litter cleanup with a volunteer locations throughout Cleveland and Cuyahoga County. Each year we work with community partners to engage more than 1,000 volunteers in one day!
1. Choose a location to clean from the list below.
2. Register for that location. You'll receive a confirmation email with the address and site leader details. Please only register at one location.
3. Arrive before 9 AM on May 2 to check-in and claim a t-shirt, and get your trash bags and gloves.
4. Spend 2 hours protecting the Cuyahoga River watershed!
Please note: Volunteers are provided with gloves and trash bags. Trash pickers/grabber tools are not provided but you are welcome to bring your own. T-shirts are provided while supplies last to volunteers registered before April 25. We do our best to accommodate all but cannot guarantee t-shirts or sizes. Arrive early for best chances.
Registered volunteers will receive an email invitation to a Thank You Party after the cleanup event. Don't forget to RSVP to the Thank You Party!
Join the employees from Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court to cleanup along Opportunity Corridor.
Join the Better Streets Committee to cleanup on W. 65th.
Join the City of Cuyahoga Heights to clean up at Bacci Park. Great site for families with young children!
Join the City of Garfield Heights to clean up on Broadway Avenue.
Join Tremont West to cleanup along Clark Avenue.
Join Tremont West to clean up Lincoln Park, along Starkweather Avenue and Kenilworth. Good spot for families.
Join Tremont West to cleanup around Duck Island, starting at the Abbey Playground.
Join Tremont West to clean up on Holmden and in the Holmden community garden.
Join the Cleveland Aquarium to cleanup in The Flats along the Superior Viaduct.
Join the Western Reserve Rowing Foundation to pick up litter throughout the peninsula.
Bring your own boat to the public dock at Merwin's Warf and cleanup directly on the Cuyahoga River with Surf Rider.
Bring your own boat to the public dock at Merwin's Wharf and cleanup directly on the Cuyahoga River with a kayak rental from Trash Fish.
Join the Trust for Public Land to cleanup around Lakeview Terrace.
