RiverSweep is Ohio's largest litter cleanup with a volunteer locations throughout Cleveland and Cuyahoga County. Each year we work with community partners to engage more than 1,000 volunteers in one day!
1. Choose a location to clean from the list below.
2. Register for that location. You'll receive a confirmation email with the address and site leader details. Please only register at one location.
3. Arrive before 9 AM on May 2 to check-in and claim a t-shirt, and get your trash bags and gloves.
4. Spend 2 hours protecting the Cuyahoga River watershed!
Please note: Volunteers are provided with gloves and trash bags. Trash pickers/grabber tools are not provided but you are welcome to bring your own. T-shirts are provided while supplies last. We do our best to accommodate all but cannot guarantee t-shirts or sizes. Arrive early for best chances.
Registered volunteers will receive an email invitation to a Thank You Party after the cleanup event. Don't forget to RSVP to the Thank You Party!
Join the employees from Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court to cleanup along Opportunity Corridor.
Join the Better Streets Committee to cleanup on W. 65th.
Join Tremont West to cleanup along Clark Avenue.
Join Tremont West to clean up on Holmden and in the Holmden community garden.
Bring your own boat to the public dock at Merwin's Warf and cleanup directly on the Cuyahoga River with Surf Rider.
Join volunteers for Ohio City Inc. & Irishtown Bend Park to cleanup on the roads around the Irishtown Bend construction site.
Join the Trust for Public Land to cleanup around Lakeview Terrace.
Join Nupoint CDC to cleanup along E. 131st St. and Miles Avenue.
Volunteer on Train Avenue with Metro West Community Development Corporation.
Join Slavic Village Development to clean up along Morgana Run Trail.
Join volunteers from SYATT to clean up at Arthur Johnston Park. Good location for families with children.
Join Cleveland Water Pollution Control to clean up at Mill Creek Falls.
Clean up at the Superior Hill Community Garden during RiverSweep.
